South East Asia Backpacking Trip 2007

This place was “Utopia” , (a little inside joke). I wouldn’t even know where to start or how to describe what a great place SE Asia was. We visited Myanmar, Thailand, Cambodia and Vietnam, but I made a little slide show here from some of the best/worst moments of our 4 week trip through SE Asia. I definetely had a good time, and I know the boys did too. Anyhow, I will let the pictures tell the rest of the story….enjoy! … Burma Myanmar Vietnam Halong Bay Cambodia Siam Reap Angkor vacation …

My friends and I just bought tickets to Bangkok and spent 5 days there and then bought plane tix to the main spots. (bangkok, yangon, bagan, siam riep, sihanoukville, hanoi, halong bay, bangkok) Once we got there we asked around for what to do and where to stay so nothing was really planned. Lonely Planet is a great resource which we used ALOT. We never traveled in a group. I wouldn’t recommend it unless you are solo, just for the company. Our 4 week trip was roughly 2500

Wow,US$2500 for four weeks, that’s amazing?! In December, so close to Christmastime too, how did you get food so cheap? If you’re travelling in a group are hotels better than hostels? =P I am wondering what would be better, Asia backpacking or Europe, I am completely unfamiliar with how to do this with Asia though it seems more fun xD

The water at 6.00 was actually right outside Angkor Wat in Cambodia. The rest of the pics towards the end were in Halong Bay, Vietnam.

Your trip looks really amazing! I cant believe how much you did in just 4 weeks! Where is 4:31 and 4:33? Myanmar??

in terms of scenery, Halong Bay in Vietnam was the most stunning…if it is a culture experience you are looking for, Burma is untouched by the West which makes it most fascinating…

those spots in in myanmar’s capital, yangon. Once you are in the city and the sun sets, you can’t miss the temple..it is the most amazing structure in the city and stands out like you can’t even imagine

$2500 in a month? how you spend so much?? i went southeast asia with £2500 an lasted 5 months.

  22. By guoqiang on Mar 19, 2009 | Reply

yeah, the airfare itself was about $1500 just to come from the US, and airfare for other intra southeastasia destinations ended up costing extra too
